Josette Tucker

Josette Tucker, Ed.D., a native of Delaware, holds a B.S. in Business and Marketing Education, a M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction, and an Ed.D. in Innovation and Leadership.  She spent the first five years of her career in education as a secondary teacher in the Caesar Rodney School District.  Josette spent the next five years as an assistant principal, first within the Caesar Rodney School District and then the Christina School District.  Within the Christina School District, Josette also served as the Supervisor of Student Services for a year before joining the Human Resources department as the Supervisor of Human Resources for two years, Director of Human Resources for the next two years, and then the Senior Director of Human Resources for the remainder of her 25-year career in public education.  In her role as the Senior Director of Human Resources, Josette managed a $55 million staffing budget and functioned as the lead negotiator for the development and ratification of over twenty negotiated agreements across six employee groups.  She provided leadership and guidance in the strategic planning and was responsible for policy and procedure evaluations, development, and revisions. In 2020, Josette was named by the Delaware Association of School Administrators as Personnel Administrator of the Year.
